We create to exercise our imaginations, and often share those visions with our loved ones. It's natural, it's comforting, and it's what we do regardless if it's knitted, baked, painted, or sewn. The "Birch and Garter Throw" (shown) is FLH's first knitted throw pattern. Using large needles and bulky yarn, the semi-laced pattern repeat is pretty simple to accomplish. Of the eight rows, only three require concentration, and all backside rows are purled. Other than knits and purls, familiarity with yarn-overs (yo) are recommended. The size can be adjusted simply by adding more pattern repeats. The result is a lovely, squishy, patterned throw perfect for cuddling.
